Our January meeting started off the decade with a lot to look forward to and great feedback looking behind. Attendance was low with the storm; kudos to those who braved it.
Next meeting: Thursday, Feb. 18th 3:15 in Mrs. Davis’ classroom. Mark your calendars now.
Fundraising: $20 Coupon Books: Feedback given to do earlier than December and with a return date with more margin than Monday at deadline. They’re great Christmas gifts, but most money was spent by then.
In looking for a new chair to contact local restaurants who will donate 15-20% for a Monthly Dine to Donate Nightstarting soon, Mrs. Davis’ sister Jenn’s name came up.
Scholastic Book Fair Spring March 8th – 12th. Mystery Dinner, Teachers’ Raffle Basket, SWAT spring TBA.
We will be sending info out shortly on Excel’s account through Scolari’s Friendship Fund so we can get a percentage from those purchases made by folks that shop there.
Sparks Movie Theater Advertising promoting Excel Christian School before family movies over the Holiday Break was seen by Mrs. Davis and others and really impressive. We’ll try to get a copy for students/teachers to view and then will make available to area churches as well to stimulate enrollment. Spread the word that mid-year enrollment of new students is available.
Elementary School voted on red base and will send flier out shortly for T Shirt and Sweat Shirt sales.
Signups for the Mt. Rose Ski Program closed yesterday and Charity will get a list from them to coordinate with the teachers. It was suggested that the few remaining upper classmen help with reading/mentoring the K-2 students. Internet Safety Month planning underway for April. Deb said that they’re having fun with thanking the teachers with a little something with the new Attitude of Gratitude Program.
Cleaning coordination much improved – thank you all.
Spring ideas for nice weather field trips discussed.
Computer Lab is becoming a reality. Thank you Jenn for your donation of 3 computers, mouses and keyboards. Parents are encouraged to look for more donations as businesses and families upgrade.
