PTF Meeting Notes October

< Back

 ParentTeacherFellowship
Our October meeting was productive with new faces again. This year’s Parent Directory was circulated for internal use. Fence Set Up and Tear down Monday’s/Friday’s is really developing into a family affair. Parents are to be commended for their help and showing that many hands make light work.
Log this and any volunteer time in the logbook in office upstairs or at www.excelchristianschool.com.
Thursday, Nov. 19th 3:15 in Mrs. Davis’ classroom will be our next meeting as Thursdays seem to work well.
Fundraising: Innisbrook was turned in today. Online sales will continue so that students can get prize credits just a little while longer. Scholastic Book Fair this week was a huge success and we’ll look to have another one in the Spring.
Development Director Gina Pistone gave some fresh ideas for this year including a Mystery Clue Dinner in Feb/March; $20 Reno-Sparks Coupon Books; and Sparks Movie Theater Advertising promoting Excel Christian School before family movies.
Paradise Plaza (where the high school is located) will be doing a Special Event the first weekend in November with Excel promotion area. Parent Charity Sanchez will coordinate Bounce House. Any others interested in working the booth should please contact Gina at the high school.
10/31st Harvest Fair at school with UFF Hope 4-7 pm.
Those present evaluated different merchandise items to sell with T Shirt/Sweatshirts. Gina shared that the logo was being updated for branding in all advertising so we can all EXCEL.
Teacher Harper reminded all of our upcoming Veterans Week Displaywith family contributions. Once again, students will be participating in Operation Postcard and sending messages of support to our troops overseas.
We’ll be evaluating participation by the school in the Mt. Rose Ski Program as well as activities for Internet Safety Month.
Calendar: Be sure to go online and look for November happenings: Carson City field trip, Reno Philharmonic and Thanksgiving Dinner.
Blessings Needed:
computers/supplies for dream lab,
high quality pictures for yearbook/website.
Balance and Peace to all,
