Excel will accept children into kindergarten who are not yet 5, as long as they demonstrate the ability to handle a full-day kindergarten class. Please be aware that qualified children may attend first grade at Excel at age 5, but they may not attend first grade in Nevada public schools unless they are 6 years old by September 30.

Birth Certificate: Parents need to show the school a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, or passport as proof of the student’s age.  The student must be enrolled under the name that appears on this document.

Health Record: A current immunization record must be obtained your doctor or from the Washoe County Health Department. Immunizations must be up-to-date according to the Washoe County Health Department standards before the student may attend Excel.
