First Grade Teacher

I have been teaching for several years. I have taught ages 3yrs-6th grade. I have been involved with Excel since 2003. I first came to Excel to observe their classrooms, and decided I wanted to be a part of what they were doing. I volunteered my time, once a week, and enjoyed it very much. I was very excited when I was offered a job teaching!

Here are some things that I like about Excel: first of all, it is a Christian environment. It is not very often that you get to work with a Christian, let alone several of them! The staff is great and very devoted to the school and the kids. I love the kids at Excel and  the opportunity I have to meet their needs at their individual level, to tell them about God and encourage them in their growth.

I married a wonderful man in August of 2009. The only kid I have is my cat! I love world missions and have been blessed to travel to Romania and Kyrgyzstan.
