I’m Kyle Lewis and I teach pre-algebra and high school government/economics at Excel Christian School. I’ve been involved with Excel since its founding in 2003. Both my older sons attended Excel. One graduated from UNR 12/2009 and is now working in his field and the other is a full-time UNR student. I currently have an 9th grade son at Excel.
I graduated from UNR in 1985 with a B.S. in Business Administration. I’ve also taken classes at UNR’s education college but haven’t yet completed their teaching program. I also previously served as Excel’s bookkeeper.
I was born and raised in Reno. My great-great-grandfather relocated to Virginia City in 1864 before later moving to Reno. Both my great-grandparents were born in Reno in 1884.
I’ve been married to Mark for 24 years and we own a local business. I attend church with my family at the River and have been a born-again Christian since 1972.
My favorite scripture verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
