I'm originally from Texas and graduated from UNR with a degree in Natural Resource Management in 1994. I've worked for 8 years as a forester, four for the US Forest Service and four for the Texas Forest Service. After discovering the most enjoyable part of my job was going into schools for environmental and fire prevention education programs, I went back to school in 1999 and completed the Teacher Education Program at Sierra Nevada College. I taught for several years in the public system, but felt called to teach for Excel full time.

(1) package 9x12 construction paper, assorted colors

(1) plastic school box

(2) 24 count boxes of Crayola crayons

(1) Kindermat, 1 inch thick (can be found at Walmart)

(1) Mead Primary Writing Journal (can be found at Walmart)

(3) packages of copy paper

(1) container of disinfecting wipes

(3) boxes of Kleenex

(1) small water bottle with a sports top lid

(1) backpack

(1) lunchbox

(1) 8 oz. bottle of hand sanitizer

     Students may bring one stuffed animal from home for rest time. Students need to bring a healthy snack each day for 10:00 snack recess. If they stay for aftercare, they will need another snack for after school. We do have a snack store. Items cost between twenty-five cents and one dollar.
